Screenings & Debates
SCREENING-TALK, animated series Le Monde incroyable de Gumball - March 16, 2024, Médiathèque de Biarritz.
This projection-meeting, based on the animated series The Incredible World of Gumball, attracted over 100 participants.
After the screening of two episodes, Ben Bocquelet, the talented creator of the series, led the meeting, presenting the creative process, dubbing techniques, characterization of the characters and a description of 3D/2D animation techniques. He then opened the floor to discussion, encouraging participants to voice their questions and comments. To round off the event in style, the audience, most of whom were fans of the series, were treated to a signing session and photo opportunity.
CINÉ-PHILO around the short film Plus t'appuies moins j'ai mal - April 18, 2024, Médiathèque de Biarritz.
In the auditorium of the Médiathèque de Biarritz, a Ciné-philo was held around the short film Plus t'appuies moins j'ai mal by Jean Boiron-Lajous: a free screening and debate open to all, to which we invited children from the Maison d'enfants St Vincent de Paul, accompanied by their educators.
The audience, aged from 5 to 80, discovered the short film, which depicts the adventures of two young children left to their own devices in the wilderness, a story filled with tenderness that is a hymn to friendship and solidarity. Following the screening, these themes opened the discussion, led by Dominique Paquet, actress and philosopher. The aim was to get the children - most of whom were new to the exercise - to ask themselves questions about the concepts raised by the film.
