The Biarritz Film Festival - NOUVELLES VAGUES commitment is to reveal the next gen film talents through a slate of films that are all about young people’s narratives and sense of urgency.

For 6 days, the Biarritz Film Festival - NOUVELLES VAGUES programs an international competition featuring 8 feature-length films never before seen in French cinemas, all of which focus on youth, its stories, its hopes and its power. Alongside the official competition, the Festival screens over 30 films, including an open-air screening.

Gathered in Biarritz, a jury of international artists under 35, an international jury of film school students and a jury of young beneficiaries of the Culture Pass will share screenings, meetings and exhibitions with the general public.

The Festival includes artists' conversations, meetings with audiovisual and film professionals, and evening previews. The 2nd edition also features an OFF festival organized and/or composed by local youth collectives.

Nouvelle Vagues is a living film experience, a unique festival where the present is filtered through the future.
