NOUVELLES VAGUES-Fondation Barrière Grant

2025 CALL FOR PROJECTS 

The Grant is an initiative of the Biarritz Film Festival – NOUVELLES VAGUES, aimed at supporting producer-director duos in the development of feature film projects that highlight the themes and narratives of new generations, as well as the challenges of today's and tomorrow's world.

After reviewing applications, a selection committee composed of film industry professionals will choose four finalist projects. These projects will benefit from individualized support in the form of mentorship sessions prior to the festival to strengthen their proposals. The selected projects will be publicly presented during the 3rd edition of the Festival in Biarritz. A youth jury will select the winning project, which will be awarded a grant of €10,000.

WHO CAN APPLY ?

A producer-director duo developing a fiction feature film project (live-action) with majority French production, focusing on the concerns of new generations.
