Born in Paris, Noémie Merlant is a French actress, director and singer. She had her breakthrough with her performance in Céline Sciamma's Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019). She won the César Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Louis Garrel's The Innocent (2023). After Mi iubita, The Balconettes is her second feature film as director.
