Born in 1978, James Franco is an American actor, director, screenwriter and producer. An early member of the Team Apatow (Freaks and Geeks, Pineapple Express, etc.), he first came to prominence in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy. Born in California in 1973, American filmmaker and artist Harmony Korine is one of the most inventive artistic figures of the last twenty years. He began his career at the age of 18, co-writing the screenplay for Larry Clark's Kids (1995). His first feature film, Gummo (1997), became an instant cult hit, as did his next, Julien Donkey-Boy (1999). In 2007 he presented his new feature Mister Lonely at Cannes in the Un Certain Regard section. The filmmaker then returned to exploring a group of misfits in the UFO Trash Humpers (2009). He returned to a a traditional film in 2013 with Spring Breakers, starring a 5-star cast including Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez and James Franco. In 2023, he presented his latest work, Dr1ft, at the Venice Film Festival.
