At 34, Isoken is still single. While her family wants her to marry Osaze, a wealthy entrepreneur, Isoken meets a young photographer called Kevin. They grow closer and closer, but the thing is that Kevin is an Oyinbo – a white man. Family pressure is mounting for Isoken to marry a man from the Edo ethnic group.

Jadesola Osiberu is a Nigerian writer, director, and producer. She is known for Isoken (2017), Sugar Rush (2019), Brotherhood (2022) and Gangs of Lagos, the first Nigerian original film set to stream exclusively on Amazon Prime Video. In September 2022, Osiberu's Greoh Studios signed a three-year deal with Amazon to develop and produce original scripted TV series and feature films. Tackling issues majoritarily faced by women through her films, Jadesola is an important female filmmaker in the Nollywood industry. She won best director at 2018 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards and got an Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Director nomination the same year.
