In a strict boarding school nestled in the Himalayas, 16-year-old Mira discovers desire and romance. But her sexual, rebellious awakening is disrupted by her mother who never got to come of age herself.
Shuchi Talati delivers an intimate and tense learning story where initiation into sexuality brings to the fore the inequalities between young people of yesterday and today. A modern and transgenerational treatment of social injustice. With Kani Kusruti (All we imagine as light by Payal Kapadia, Grand Prix Cannes 2024)
