Five teenagers from a small town in Oregon decide to embark on one last adventure. Crammed into a van with a broken taillight, their mission is to go to a place they have never been: the Pacific coast, five hundred kilometers away.
A road trip portrait of American youth, the Ross brothers' sixth film blurs the lines between documentary and fiction. The freedom and brother/sisterhood that animate the young characters are overwhelming. It's a free film, as in free jazz, improvising on the melodies of their souls.
