In a ghetto where trafficking and religion go hand in hand, Dounia hungers for power and success. Supported by her best friend Maimouna, she decides to follow in the footsteps of Rebecca, a respected drug dealer.

La CinéFabrique is a film school offering a free 3-year diploma course. Based in Lyon and Marseille, it is accessible via a national exam process. With a view to social diversity, La CinéFabrique trains 49 students per class and per site, in 7 trades – VFX supervision, production design, screenwriting, production, image, sound and editing. It also provides shorter training courses, including the Orientation and Preparation Class, school workshops and continuing education.
Houda Benyamina
Born in 1980
Born in 1980, Houda Benyamina is a committed, self-taught director. A graduate of ERAC (École Régionale d'Acteurs de Cannes), she trained as a director through the association 1000 VISAGES, which she founded in 2006 to make filmmaking more accessible. It was through this organization that she made her first short film, Ma Poubelle géante (2008), which brought her to the attention of producer Marc-Benoit Créancier. Her medium-length film Sur la route du Paradis (2012) won awards at a number of festivals. In May 2016, she was awarded the Caméra d'or at the Cannes Film Festival for her first feature, Divines, which also garnered three César Awards in February 2017, including one for Best First Feature.
