VISIT TO A CINEMA: from projection booth to box office: Monciné cinema in ANGLET - March 7, 2024

A “Rencontre Métiers” at the MonCiné cinema gave more than 60 people registered with the local missions of Anglet and Bayonne the opportunity to discover what goes on behind the scenes in a movie theater, how it works and its various professions: from programming to ticketing to the projection booth, the group was able to watch a film being launched and talk with the exhibitor-programmer and projectionist. 

The aim of this discovery tour was to arouse the curiosity and interest of a socially and professionally disengaged audience - by shedding light on behind-the-scenes jobs.

VISIT TO A FILM SET IN HENDAYE - “L'île des faisans” by Asier Urbieta - March 18, 2024

Another Rencontre Métiers offered ten young people aged between 16 and 22 from Hendaye's Mission locale the opportunity to discover a film set and its various professions: producer, sound engineer, stage manager, cinematographer, grip...Jokin Etcheverria, the producer, welcomed the group and presented his profession as well as the film: “L'île des faisans”, the first feature film by Basque director Asier Urbieta; a thriller inspired by real events about migrants crossing the border. 

The aim of the visit was to arouse curiosity and awaken vocations - among young people who have dropped out of social and professional life - by opening the doors to an artistic and professional world that is little-known and often fantasized about.
